Peer Support Service – Redbridge
Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham & Redbridge, in partnership with NELFT deliver a peer support programme to respond to mental health needs within communities across Redbridge.
How does it work?
Our Peer support Worker work within the Neighbourhood Teams across Redbridge provide a recovery focused support service for people experiencing moderate and severe mental health issues.
Our Peer Workers use their own lived experience of mental health issues to work alongside you in an equal partnership on your journey towards independence and recovery.

How to Refer:
Ask your GP or you can self -refer
Our service is for you if you are:
· Adult over the age of 18 years who is registered with a Redbridge GP or reside in the borough.
· 18 years or older (Adults over the age of 64 or under the age 18 years, who present as a Walk-In, will not be turned away in case they are in crisis and at risk)
· Accessing adult mental health services due to SMI (Serious Mental Illness)
· Want support to facilitate your recover
We can help you in the following ways:
Enable you to have increase control and develop resilience in your recovery and provide support in a holistic way to improve your health and wellbeing.
To work with you to identify services, support, and opportunities for you to gain access to resources including benefits, welfare rights, settled housing, inclusion opportunities and health promotion.
To support you to access peer support groups within the local community.
To deliver support and care which is culturally informed and aware.
To provide support with daily living to empower you to live independently.
To support you to recognize good physical health as well as mental health and encourage you to engage in appropriate interventions such as wellbeing clinics, physical activity and healthy eating.
