If you are looking at investing some of your time to support vulnerable people to have a voice and to support our advocacy team by raising awareness about our service or carrying out administrative duties behind the scene, then this role could be for you.
We are looking for a volunteer who is confident, enthusiastic and non-judgemental, capable of interacting with people with varying levels of vulnerability and need.
The role involves entering information about our clients on our database, supporting advocates in meetings and representing the service at awareness raising events.
It is essential you are capable of using Microsoft Word, are understanding, open minded, with excellent communication and literacy skills with experience of providing administrative support.
Travelling is needed for awareness raising events, meetings with community clients and between our services in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Havering as and when required.
Our head office is at the Open House in Bow, 10 minutes’ walk from Devon’s Road DLR.
The advocacy office in Tower Hamlets is based at Mile End Hospital which is a 10 minutes’ walk from Stepney Green Tube Station or 15 minutes’ walk from Mile End Tube Station.
We also have offices in Plaistow and Hornchurch for our services in Newham and Havering.
