The Concept

Our kindness campaign has stemmed from the mental health crisis that we are currently facing due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 1 in 5 adults with no pre-existing mental health issues say their mental health is now poor or very poor during lockdown, whilst two thirds of adults with an existing mental health condition say it has deteriorated. We thought that this challenge was a great way to promote kindness, to raise awareness of mental health and to support our mental health services for clients that are struggling through Covid-19 alone.

Not only will this challenge uplift your 5 nominees who will receive a lovely message from you, but you will also feel great. The science behind kindness shows that our biology is designed to almost need and give kindness! A special hormone called oxytocin is released when we smile, laugh, bond and are feeling good, some of the things that we feel or let others experience when sharing kindness!

Raising awareness about mental health is our main goal but we need your help and donations to reach more people that are suffering through Covid-19 alone.

Please help us by sharing the poster, nominating friends on your social media and tagging us when you do!

Be sure to head over to our Instagram highlights @Mindithn1 to join in on Monday, have fun and be kind!

Thank you for your support – take care and stay well!
