We work with an all-through school in Newham to support children navigating difficult issues, as early as possible.
We work closely with the safeguarding team, who identify the students that most need our support. They might be struggling with family issues, bullying, self-harm, health issues, low mood or anxiety. With 8+ sessions of counselling, we help them develop the strength to navigate these challenges.
For these children, counselling can be a lifeline, leading to improved mental health and wellbeing, confidence in their abilities, and achievement at school.
Changing culture, reducing stigma
As well as supporting individual students, we raise the profile of mental health in the school. This service also helps to open up conversations about mental health in the wider community.
